- About
A law firm in Sialkot with a different approach.
A small practice, a limited caseload, and advice a client can actually follow.
The firm
The Future Law is a Pakistani legal practice led by Advocate Akif Rasool, an advocate appearing before the High Court and the Supreme Court of Pakistan. He trained under Khawaja Owais in Sialkot.
The practice covers seven areas: real estate, criminal, domestic violence, corporate, financial settlements, digital media and cyber law, and tax return filing. That range reflects the reality of how legal problems arrive. A property dispute becomes a criminal complaint; a family matter turns on maintenance and property; a business disagreement ends up as a recovery claim. Dealing with those threads under one roof produces better advice than treating each in isolation.
What clients can expect
Three things, consistently. First, that the person who reads the file is the person who argues it. Second, that the position is explained in plain language, including when the honest answer is that a claim is weak. Third, that the strategy is directed at the outcome the client needs, which is not always the outcome a court can order.
Where we work
The practice serves clients across Pakistan, with representation before the trial courts, the High Court and the Supreme Court of Pakistan. Initial consultations are offered at no charge so that a prospective client can find out whether they need a lawyer at all before committing to anything.
On what this website claims
This site deliberately carries no case statistics, no success rates and no awards. Those figures are easy to publish and impossible for a prospective client to verify. What is stated here about the firm can be checked, and anything that cannot be is left out.
Why clients choose us
Five commitments that hold on every file.
Personal attention
Every matter is dealt with by the lawyer instructed on it. Clients are not passed down a chain, and the person who reads your file is the person who argues it.
Strategic thinking
We look past the immediate legal question to the outcome you actually need. Sometimes that means litigation; often it means a route that gets there faster.
Clear communication
Legal matters are stressful largely because they are unclear. We explain the position in plain language, including when the news is not good.
Professional representation
Disciplined preparation, proper documentation and courtroom conduct that reflects on the client. There is no substitute for a well-prepared file.
Client-centred counsel
Advice is tailored to circumstances, cost and appetite for risk — not to a template applied to every matter of the same type.
How we work
From first conversation to resolution.
Every matter follows the same disciplined sequence, whatever its size.
Initial consultation
We listen to the situation, the objective and the concerns behind it, and tell you honestly whether you need a lawyer.
Assessment
We review the documents and facts, identify the legal considerations and set out the realistic options with their costs.
Strategy
We agree an approach, a sequence and a target outcome, so you know what is being done and why at each stage.
Representation
We act — drafting, filing, negotiating and appearing — and keep you informed as the matter develops.
Resolution
We work toward the agreed outcome, and make sure it is documented and enforceable once reached.
Consultation
Have a legal matter that needs clear direction?
